In America the risk of investing in a college education is higher because the college is cheaper.Parents think before investing.Most of their need to make sure that student can graduated and have possibility to be hiring for a job.
So, their just pay for associate degree.After that, student can work and pay his tuition.That why most of parents have associate degree. Meanwhile, their need to calculate all charge.Then see how his earn weekly before begin to pay fee for college education. 
The most important risk is due to pay all the tuition but student fail class.That why some parents are so angry. But for me, I think that the best way to do is to pay a tuition for children at college.Even if, he or she can not pass, the school can built the children.He or she can be smart.Then he or she can take just a class that he fail.After that he will graduate and found e better job. In most of case he can send back to you the money you spent for he education in some way.
